My responsibilities at Imperial Headwear include line development. The design team will choose fabrics, colors and styles for each season of our headwear and accessory lines. Collaborating with Bawdee Swimwear has been an irreplaceable experience. I have been able to create a collection & release new pieces each month while participating in fashion shows and pop up shops. Awards

Kansas State ATID Showcase of Excellence-2018

I was presented with the first place award in the upper division from the department of Apparel, Textiles & Interior Design Showcase of Excellence for an original collection. As the team leader of a group of three I was inspired to create safety-equipped running gear for women scared of running at night. Our group started the collection from scratch and drafted patterns through Optitex & created the final physical collection.

First Place at Alpaca Owner’s Association Student Design Competition

The competition centered around designs made of alpaca with the theme of Alpaca: The Earth Friendly Fiber. I took the designated theme and became inspired by topographic maps. My resulting design board was chosen as first place in the nation out of 40 schools and 400 students.

YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund Winner

In the fall of 2016, I was presented with the award from the YMA for an original Macy’s and Etsy collaboration case study. I created the case study with versatile bridal looks for Etsy craftsmen to make and to be sold in-store at Macy’s. The Idea for this collection came from the strengths of Etsy’s unique handmade goods and the availability of brick and mortar stores through Macy’s.

Kansas State ATID Showcase of Excellence-2016

I was presented with the second place award from Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design Showcase of Excellence for an original design board, where I created a board with versatile jumpsuit designs inspired by 1960’s psychedelia.
